When I break down the recipe for transformation, I see it in five (5) distinct parts. Understanding, Practice, Re-Programming, Detoxification (physically and energetically), and Rebuilding. This 4-Day Retreat will be hosted at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga on Saltspring Island, British Columbia (BC), Canada. At the heart of the Island lies a centre dedicated for the attainment of peace where spiritual practices have been performed for over 50 years and beyond the purchase by DS Satsang Society in 1981. The land has a special vibration and you can feel the "exhale" as soon as you step on it.

Meet Your Hosts

Natasha SamsonNatasha Samson: P.Eng., Ayu.HC, YTT

 

Natasha will be your main host for the retreat, teaching and facilitating.

Natasha is an intuitive healer with an engineer’s mind who has been studying, teaching and counseling for more than 15 years. She is dedicated to sharing her deep understanding of healing the mind, the root cause of suffering, through engineering, ancient science, and intuitive knowledge. She draws from both the physical and philosophical wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga and her own intuitive knowledge to connect with the root cause. As someone who is solution-oriented, she uses her natural problem-solving skills to find patterns in all aspects of your life and offers accessible tools, specific to you, to unblock your path. “I Want More from Life!” Is the theme of her offerings, incorporating physical practices to shift the energy of the mind, food choices that will enhance your well-being, daily rhythms to help the body run efficiently, psychology to overcome limiting beliefs and internal blocks, as well as yoga, strategic movement, breathing and meditation. She integrates these applied sciences to engineer the human psyche towards greater happiness and contentment, all with the spiritual undertone of Mind, Body & Soul healing. Natasha hosts retreats, offers courses, workshops, and keynote speaking engagements.

I have chosen this path because I am always trying to grow. I believe in the value of revealing the root cause of our physical and psychological issues so to remove the obstacles that are holding us back on our path. Ram Dass once said, “We are all just walking each other home,” “home” being our true Self, the Divine or pure love. I am here to help walk you home.

 

Yogeshwar Will Humphrey: BA, MA, YTT 500

Will will be offering morning breathwork and cleansing practice.

Will has been teaching yoga for a little over a decade.  He has completed his 200hr and 300hr teacher trainings at the Mount Madonna Center in California, where he lived for several years teaching various yoga trainings and retreats and serving as pujari at the Center’s Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple.

In addition to years of personal practice, Will also completed an M.A. in Religious Studies at the University of Calgary in 2016. His studies included coursework on both western and eastern traditions of philosophy and religion, plus over two years of academic study in Sanskrit.

For Will, the theory and practice of yoga is a gateway to appreciating the profound mystery of being conscious and alive, and ultimately to abiding in the wholeness and peace that is our true nature.
